Our Fall 2020 community service project is this Sunday, October 18th from 3pm-4pm.

NEW LOCATION:
The Mastrian’s Driveway, 15305 Sunningdale St, Austin

This is a completely optional activity and no one is required to attend.

To participate in this event, you must donate items and indicate what you are bringing on the attached sign up genius. Number of items you bring will dictate number of bags you create. 5 items = 1 kit; 4 kits = 1 Service Hour 

** Important Message for NHS MEMBERS: Ms Maupin has instructed that you bring your NHS paperwork to this event for us to sign off on your confirmation of service. You can receive 1 hour of service creating bags on Sunday in addition to hours you can receive if you personally deliver at least 4 or more kits to facility. The number of items you bring to our event will dictate the number of kits you will personally make! **

Details:
We will be assembling kits to donate to our local veterans. The South Central Texas Hospice Veteran Partnership is collecting large Ziploc bag kits to distribute to homebound veterans who are struggling during this pandemic. Each kit will contain a variety of 5 full size items, including hygiene products, crafts, and snacks. We will meet at Mastrian’s with your donated items and assemble the bags together (while socially distant).

Please go to the Sign-Up Genius to RSVP and let us know what you will be bringing to donate. Let us know if you will be attending so that we can properly plan for social distancing.

If you cannot attend but would still like to donate, that is appreciated too! Items can be brought to Mastrian’s on event day. (Ziploc bags will be provided for this activity.)

Deborah Silva and Cara Mastrian will be dropping off kits the next day, Monday, October 19. However, if you want volunteer hours, you can do your own drop off (M-F 8:30am-5pm) and get your NHS documentation signed at 1101 Arrow Point Drive, Suite 301, Cedar Park, TX 78613. Every 4 kits = 1 volunteer hour.
